FOUNDATION
The objectives of ASIA FOUNDATION shall
be sought to be achieved by :
(a) Undertaking, organizing and co-coordinating research in the
socio-economic, educational, cultural, religious and demographic fields of
different ethnic groups and giving training and coaching to the boys and
girls of the poor through computer and other Information technology.
(b) Holding periodical study circles, conferences and seminars and
promoting socio-cultural, economic, tourism and educational exchange
programmes.
(c) Publishing books, reports, papers, journals, research papers,
newspapers, bulletin etc. to popularize North East India in all sectors
including culture and tourist destinations.
(d) Forming a 'TRUST' as financial institution to help the smooth
functioning of the society;
(e) Receiving grants, subsidies, donations.
(f) Opening centers for guidance to guide the tourists, writers,
journalists, social workers and educationists of different fields globally.
(g) Conferring Awards and Prizes upon the scholars in the field of
education, culture tourism & social works for their outstanding
contributions towards all round development of the society.
(h) Extending special concessions like free education, free supply of
books, uniforms/ stationary, and scholarship/ fellowship for the poor and
educationally backward students.
(i) Making documentaries/films/vcd and Websites on suitable/relevant
important subjects, which the society feels necessary and undertaking any
projects for dissemination through audio-visual programmes of art and
culture.
(j) Obtaining all powers and authorities necessary to carry out or to
extend any of the above objects.
(k) Employing any other means upon which the society may decide.
